Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, USA

Dr. Olivia Veatch is an assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, USA. She earned her PhD in Human Genetics from Vanderbilt University, and certification in biomedical informatics at the University of Pennsylvania where she studied the genetics of sleep and circadian rhythms. Her research unites human genetics, biomedical informatics and functional studies to decipher efficient ways to translate biomedical data into clinically useful information for disorders of the brain. She is particularly interested in understanding how genetic changes in people with Prader Willi syndrome may also disrupt sleep and circadian rhythms. The hope is that this research can help find better ways to treat sleep problems in these individuals.
